What a nice older house! I was there a few days ago and removed the 35mm projectors et-al, the building is currently a second hand store! All seating is gone and the owners live in an apartment upstairs. The building as well as the projectors are in great condition and well maintained! All the neon has been removed from the marquee but the name is still there. Very nice new owners too, It is sad they do not want to continue operating as a cinema.

Here is the latest- The McBride family has sold the theater to a family that is working on bringing it back! They plan to keep the Simplex projectors and show 35mm films. Updates to follow!

Status should be closed. According to their Facebook page they are trying to raise money for a digital projector.

This theater has been in the McBride family for decades and has never closed. The projectors are still the original pair of Super Simplex machines and I removed the last still operating pair of Carbon Arc lamphouses in Utah from this theater about 3 years ago. A pair of Strong Super-Lumex’s along with modern Switching rectifiers were installed. Although he still runs a change-over booth with 20 minute reels owner McBride was glad to see the Carbon Lamphouses go out!

The theater is still up and running, I have worked their for a year.
It was closed for two weeks one time because we had to replace the seats but it is still open and operating great. It hasn’t been closed at all permanantly, ever. Everything is still operating. This site has info… but it’s incorrect.
