The McNair Theatre was located on the near south side of St. Louis on the corner of McNair Street and Lynch Street. The theatre seated 598. It has a center entrance with a small marquee and a small vertical on the corner of the theatre.

The McNair Theatre was a small neighborhood house with a small lobby and three aisles leading into the auditorium. The building was a single story building in a blonde brick.

It closed in the 1950’s and served as a church for many years.

The theatre appeared as early as 1911 in the City Directory. It was located at the northwest corner and the box-office and entrance was at the corner.

Theatre closed in May 1954.

The church is on the site of the airdome…not the theatre.
