Located in a shopping center on Gallatin Road and Old Hickory Hills the Old Hickory opened June 24, 1994 by O'Neil Theatres. It was built inside what was once a supermarket. The Old Hickory had a short life span closing in 2000 when it was operated by Carmike Cinemas chain. It was operated as a discount house from opening until it closed. The theater has been torn down and replaced by retail.

The Old Hickory was torn down and recently replaced with a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Store.
long before the colonial drive-in was on this spot during the 60’s
Another Wal-mart,maybe they should open theatres in their stores. Not!
Another thought maybe they should call it Carmike-Walmart.
Carmike can close theatres. In Hendersonville,N.C. EPIC THEATRES went into a closed Wal-mart and i think squezzed in 12 screens. I wouldn’t want to watch movie there.
TLSLOEWS,ever find out about OLD HICKORY DRIVE-in.
Not yet maybe I dreamed it up.
I am sure you did not dream it up.the bad thing is if we had the time,Like Nick somehow finds,we could get a lot more of info on theatres here and up your way.
June 24th, 1994 grand opening ad. O'Neil did not spend much on grand opening. Highest screen count up to this date in Nashville.
