The Maybrook Drive-In opened on June 5, 1958 with Anthony Quinn in “Attila” & John Ireland in “Gunslinger. It was closed in 1998. It had a capacity for 700 cars. The drive-in was demolished in 2000 and it was replaced with housing for senior citizens.

The former film makeup table from the projection room is now my workbench at home. It’s hard to believe the place has been demolished almost 6 years now.

Toward the early seventies they started to run a lot of X -rated movies.It was sorta odd booking the first feature would be X rated then the second feature would be"M" or “GP”.

There was also a cartoon screened on the opening night(not named).
I went here several times in the time period of 1998 and 1999. Nice big screen.Friendly operators.
