Opened as the New Lyric Theatre during the 1920’s, this 550-seat theatre was located on Third Avenue near E. 180th Street in the Tremont area of the Bronx. The Lyric Theatre was renamed the Kameo Theatre during the 1930’s.
Long ago closed as a movie house, the building today houses a church.

Looks like a dump! I know the Kameo was a Brandt Theatre. I would to see a photo from it’s heyday.
The 1970 IMPA puts the Kameo in Brooklyn, but I think it’s a typo. This was under the Brandt theater listing. There’s a half page of Brandt theaters, but to narrow it down here is Brooklyn and the Bronx:
Bronx: Post Road Bainbridge, Laconia, Lido, Melba, Wakefield, Ascot, Earl, Kent, Luxor, Bronx Square, Park Plaza, Surrey
Brooklyn: Carlton, Deluxe, Earl, Regent, Sanders, Sutter, Kameo (sic), Astor Shore.
