Closed 1979 and reopened in 2005.
For some odd reason this theater seems to be on a 2 year clint eastwood marathon. No Top Gun, only Clint Eastwood.

The November 1, 1924 issue of The Moving Picture World, had a short article about the proposed theater George J. Beihler planned to build at Hamburg. The 1,000 seat, $125,000 project was being designed by Buffalo architects Bley & Lyman (Lawrence Bley and Duane Lyman.)
There is a GoFundMe page set up to raise funds for the Palace so that renovation work can be made.
I have visited this theatre and met the owner though don’t think I still have his email address.

A nice original theatre in a quaint downtown area. Do plan to visit this summer and find the local Great Harvest Bread Company.
What a great theater to frequent!
I went to see the most recent marvel Comic type movie on opening day (I was shocked they received it on the first day). The ticket price was almost 50% less than the chain theater a few miles away, the concessions are VERY fairly priced, popcorn is about the best I have had anywhere. The projection is digital and sharp, sound clear and adjusted appropriately. The only downside to this theater is the seats which are very small, old and the rows too close together. Uncomfortable even. Will that stop me from seeing another movie here? Probably not.
The owner offers a movie going experience that is unequaled in the southtowns and a price that is affordable for families. he is to be commended.
LouB: A wonderful post about a survivor theatre! I have never met the Palace Theatre owner, but hope to this summer as I have talked to him over the phone!

I attended the Stoogefest at the Palace. It was nice seeing these timeless comedies in a historic theatre.
I agree…no tax revenue! It would make the theatre more appealing with up and running businesses on both sides to help bring in patrons for them and for the cinema.
I agree, but the campaigns are over! I will have to ask the owner of the Palace what the status is for those 2 storefronts. The one has window curtains….so not sure.
Both storefronts have vintage glass above their entrances which makes them both appealing to the eye, in that regard.
Lost: After a closer inspection I see that the marquee is new, but too bad the neighboring storefronts aren’t more attractive with nice retail businesses.
Lost: Do you know what year the above photo was taken? I hope to see this theatre in the coming days as I’ve communicated with the current owner, Jay Ruof. The latest news is that the marquee was restored so not sure about this photo and it’s era?
