News About This Theater

The Pontiac Mall Cinema I & II was opened March 14, 1973. This was another twin where GCC split the larger auditorium in half. In 1983 it was taken over by National Amusements and was closed in 1993. It was demolished in 2014.

Later called the Summit Place Cinema after the Pontiac Mall changed its name, it was torn down in 2014 after being abandoned for several years.

National Amusements took over management of this cinema in 1983 operating it for a decade before it closed permanently.
