Zola

A wonderful neighbourhood movie theatre with a minaret tower on the facade, the Casino de Grenelle was opened on 24th September 1920 with 1,496 seats. By 1946 it had been renamed Zola and closed around 1965.

During its last days, sometimes no more than 20 patrons for the evening performance were in the almost 1,500 seat theatre! It was closed in 1967 and an apartment block has been built on the site.
