The Alhambra was first opened in 1958. The last big renovation took place in 1997.

Interesting detail: Instead of a curtain, there was a five minute “curtain show” before each show. Big neon letters “DIGITAL ALHAMBRA” sunk towards the bottom of the screen disappearing behind the masking.
