The Hayward Drive-In is a single-screen drive-in located south of town and featured a racetrack in front of the entrance alongside Norway pine trees being planted around the theater. It opened on June 12, 1951 by A.N. Donnellan of Winter, Wisconsin, with a 40x60ft screen, a capacity of 325 cars, and 50 walk-in patrons.

The Hayward Drive-In was still operating into the late-1980’s but was demolished during the early-1990’s. The racetrack continued to operate as part of its “amusement area” until temporarily closing in the mid-2020’s.

The original racetrack was replaced sometime in the late-1990s or early-2000s with a much larger track. That was replaced with an even more different track during the COVID-19 pandemic.
