Two omissions to insert please: 1) Forgot to mention in the first sentence that the venue opened as the Columbia Opera House (oops). 2) Isaac F. McMinds of Cedar Rapids was the architect of the 1917 refresh moving the opera house to the main floor as the Cascade Theatre.
