Cove Theatre

The Cove Theatre was located directly next door to the Clay Theatre at 326 Walnut Street in Green Cove Springs, Florida. The theater was built in 1950 to handle the massive local population boom driven by the U.S. Navy and the 600 ships stationed at the nearby Naval Air Station. The adjacent Clay Theatre was consistently sold out, prompting the same owners to open the Cove right next door to accommodate the overflow crowds. It was in operation up until the early-1980’s.
