Atomic Drive-In

The Atomic Drive-In opened its gates on May 2, 1958 with Burt Lancaster in “Trapeze” and Joel MacRae in “The First Texan” along with an unnamed cartoon. The theater is located west of the North Shore in the unincorporated area of Spragge. It was closed during the 1980’s.

Correction: According to Vaughn Berry Photography, the Atomic Drive-In housed 284 cars. Much of the theater, including its screen, still stands into the early-2000s.
