Built on the site of the Capitol Theatre (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). A new Centrepoint Shopping Centre contained a 6-screen Hoyts Capitol 6 which opened in the late-1980’s. Since at least 2018 it has been operated by an independent operator as the Forum 6 Cinemas.
Sharing the same foyer space with the Forum 6 Cinemas on the first floor, is the newly opened Capitol Theatre. It is operated by the local council and has 394-seats. It presents live theatre and live performances.
