Garden City Drive-In

The Garden City Drive-In launched on July 1, 1948 by W.C. Mason. It was originally a mainstream drive-in at first, but later shifted to adult films during the 1970’s and throughout the early-1980’s.

It wasn’t until new management led by Chuck McGinnis tossed the porn away and fixed the tables, bringing back mainstream movies on April 2, 1985. This didn’t last long at all, and the drive-in officially closed on September 13, 1985 with “Red Sonja” and “Cocoon”.
