The Aeon Cinema Saga Yamato opened its doors on July 20, 2001, and unlike most other Aeon Cinemas in the area, this is the only older Aeon Cinema in the prefecture that is not opened and first operated by Warner Mycal Cinemas. It housed eight screens and 1,486 seats.
