Theater

This theater was located in the southern storefront of the Windsor Hotel, a massive 4 story brick building constructed in 1887. The 1905 map shows a clothing store here, but the theater was open by 1911.

The theater remained in operation through at least 1920, despite not being listed in the 1914-15 AMPD. It appears to have closed before 1926, as Garden City does not appear in the Yearbook.

This space later became a drugstore, and then a shoe store, but has been vacant for many years. The building is quite stunning, but is in precarious condition, and entirely vacant. Tours are apparently offered from time to time.
