Located in the Vila Matias district of Santos. The Cine San Jose was opened on 7th September 1937. It was operated by Empresa de Cinemas de Santos Ltd.
It has been closed for many years, (possibly a victim of a fire) and certainly by April 2011 when only the facade, part of the side-walls of the roofless auditorium and the stage/screen end of the building are all that survive. By August 2015 the top portion of the facade was removed.
