The Orlando Opera House located on Court Street between Pine Street and Church Street was built in 1884 as the city’s first grand entertainment venue. Unfortunately, the Orlando Opera House closed in January 1917 and was demolished right afterward to make way for a Haynes-HupMobile distributorship owned by J.P. Holbrook, alongside a Willard Service Station and a high-class automobile repair shop.
