Built in 1913, the Nuovo Teatro was opened in January 1914 presenting circus and film shows. In 1925 it was renamed Cinema Teatro Tito Schipa, in honour of the tenor of that name. In use as a theatre and cinema during the 1920’s and 1930’s. Since the end of World War II in 1945 it has operated only as a cinema, preserving its original architecture.
