Grand Theatre

This theatre appears on the November 1911 Sanborn. It was located in an old two story brick building constructed sometime before 1884. The 1905 map shows a doctor’s office here.

This theatre remained in operation through 1914-15, when it is listed in the AMPD. No later maps are available, but this may possibly have become the Liberty Theatre, which is listed in the 1926 Yearbook with 348 seats.

Parsons' downtown is in tragic condition, and only about 25% still exists. This building was demolished some time ago, and the site is an ugly modern bank.
