Situated in Kerikeri, in the Bay of Islands, in the Far North District of the North Island, the Cathay Cinema opened in 1936.
In 2008 it was sub-divided into today’s three screen venue.
In a nice touch, the very well appointed screens have names. Screen 1 (The Hall Cinema) has 150 seats, while Screens 2 (Cameo) and 3 (Roxy) each have 52 seats.
