The UA Movies at Machesney 1-4 opened its doors by United Artists on March 17, 1980 at the center court of the Machesney Park Shopping Center, and expanded to 10 screens by the mid-1980’s when it expanded elsewhere in the mall and was known as UA Movies at Machesney..

Kerasotes last operated the theater until its closure on May 13, 2005 due to the opening of its then-new 14-screener nearby, and was demolished later on.

It was later shorten to just “UA Movies at Machesney” following its mid-1980s expansion.
