The Michelle and Kevin Douglas IMAX Theatre, found in the USC School of Cinematic Arts' Robert Zemeckis Center for Digital Arts, opened on June 4th, 2014. The construction of the theatre was funded by IMAX’s largest shareholders, Michelle and Kevin Douglas, and it gives students the opportunity to experiment with large format filmmaking.

Even though it’s one of the smallest IMAX screens in southern California, measuring only 46 by 24 feet, it happens to be extremely immersive for an IMAX, since the four rows of seats are so close to the screen.
