The Aeon Cinema Toyota Kitara opened its doors on November 25, 2017 with nine screens, 1,138 seats, and 19 wheelchairs (two in each auditorium except Screen 5. Screen 5 has three wheelchairs).

Screen 6 is the largest with 332 seats, and Screen 1 is the smallest with 86 seats. Screens 2, 3, 4, 5, and 9 all have 94 seats, and Screens 7 and 8 have 125 seats.

The Kitara Aeon is the only Aeon Cinema in the entirety of the Aichi Prefecture that is not part of the Aeon Group. As a result, it was exempt from the request to suspend its business several times between May 22 and 30, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but was the only theater to still operate despite the anger.
