The Lawson United Cinema STYLE-S Minatomirai was partially built on the site of the Orbi Yokohama, and opened its doors on April 26, 2024 with 12 screens and 1,050 seats (with four wheelchairs in Screen 12 and the rest having two wheelchairs each). It was located on the 5th floor of MARK IS Minatomirai.

What’s unique about Screen 12 is that the auditorium used the space of Orbi Yokohama’s large curved screen known as the Theater 23.4. Theater 23.4 opened alongside the opening of the Orbi Yokohama on August 19, 2013 with the film “Ice Worlds”. The 23.4 is a 340-seat theater that allows visitors to experience immersion in nature with a giant screen and special effects equipment. Throughout its seven-year run, 10 films were produced with most of them are documentaries on animals. The number 23.4 comes from the tilt of the earth’s axis. The screen is one of the largest ever in Japan, measuring 40m wide and 8m high, and rear screens measuring 5.3m wide and 3m high are installed on both sides at the rear. In addition to the powerful images, the facility also produces 3D sound, vibrations, sounds, wind, fog, smells, and more in sync with the images. Unfortunately that attraction closed on December 31, 2020 after being announced two months prior.

Screen 12 is also the largest with 270 seats, and Screen 11 is the smallest with 31 seats. The rest of the auditoriums have ranging capacities of 49-98. All of its auditoriums have 7.1ch surround sound, and Screen 5 also has installations of REAL 3D.
