In October 1951, Boxoffice magazine reported that the 400-seat Atlanta Theatre would open on November 1 in the “theatreless town” of Atlanta MI. It was in the former American Legion hall, converted “by the partnership of Mowery and Klein.”
The Aug. 7, 1954 issue of the Independent Film Journal reported that “Joseph II. Peckis is now managing the Veterans Theatre, formerly known as the Atlanta, at Atlanta, Mich.”
