The Model Drive-In opened its gates on April 26, 1951 with Yvonne De Carlo in “Buccaneer Girl” (unknown if extras added). It was operated by Jerry Mundy.

The theater was briefly renamed the Melody Drive-In in March 1955, and closed that same year on October 29, 1955 with Piper Laurie in “Dawn at Socorro” and Robert Stack in “Bwana Devil” (also unknown if extras added).
