Located in the northwest district of Wellston. This was the 3rd theatre to be named Wellston Theatre. Its predecessor was destroyed by fire on April 4, 1944 and has its own page on Cinema Treasures. The new Wellston Theatre opened on November 7, 1945 with Barbara Stanwyck in “Christmas in Connecticut” & Jean Sullivan in “Escape in the Desert”. The building was designed by architect Hugo K. Graf with 1,319-seats.

The Wellston Theatre was closed on October 25, 1962 with Alan Ladd in “13 West Street”. It was demolished and a 9-0-5 Liquor store was built on the site.
