Airdome

This airdome appears as a ‘Summer Theatre’ on the 1908 map. It was a typical simple construction with a small wooden ticket shack and stage. It was located south of the current corner, in what is now Twin Springs Park.

This location was an empty lot in 1904, and the theater was gone by 1914. Before the park was constructed, St. Nicholas Ave (now Broadway) sort of petered out in this area, and there was another half block of little wooden stores south of the last building standing on the west side. This was about where the fountain is today.
