Opened on December 2, 1953, closed in 1976. It became a recording studio which was still open in May 2009. By October 2011 it a cafe named Le Palma. That had closed by August 2018 and the building was demolished by June 2019.

In the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook a Cinema Moderne was listed with 847-seats. It was listed as (Closed). In the 1943 edition of FDY St. Laurent does not have a listing.

It was listed in the 1947 edition underneath the United Amusements chain in the “chains” section.
