Located on Route 2. The Callaghan Drive-In opened its gates on April 29, 1949 with Walt Disney’s “Bambi” along with an unknown musical short and an unnamed cartoon. It was located in a small area named Callaghan on SR-709 but was still part of Covington. It was operated by E.L. Lockhart.
The Callaghan Drive-In closed on October 28, 1962 with John Payne in “Tennessee’s Partner” and “Back To Eternity”.
