The original Palace Grand Theatre was opened on July 18, 1899. The building fell into disrepair and was demolished in 1960. It was rebuilt in 1961 as a near copy of the original theatre and reopened in 1962. It was renovated, reopened again on September 15, 2018.
It is a classified Federal Heritage Building.
