This theater opened sometime after 1937, apparently replacing an older theater across the street. It occupied the western half of a two-story building with stone walls and a brick facade. It was originally constructed in 1887, and was a general store for many years.
Photos from 1976 show the theater looking a bit ratty, but still apparently in operation. The facade looks to be from 1940-50, and consists of enameled metal panels with a simple overhanging marquee.
At some point thereafter, the bank which occupied the eastern half expanded into this space. The building currently has an atrocious sheet metal slipcover, and no trace of the historic structure or the later theater remains.
