Elite Theatre

This large theatre first appears on the 1918 map, replacing a wooden garage building from the 1911 map. The building was a fairly tall, two-story building, and had a large stage and deep balcony.

No later maps are available online, but this had been demolished at least by the 1970’s or early-1980’s. This address is the site of a really ugly telephone company office building.

Note that at least through 1918, this street was W. North Main Street (the current Main St was known as Chestnut Street).
