There’s not a lot of information. The Royal Theatre opened as early as 1934 and was renamed the Elmo Theatre in 1940 to avoid confusion with the nearby Royal Theatre in Burlington Junction.
During its final years of operation, the Elmo Theatre began operating only on Wednesdays and Sundays for a brief time until closing in 1952.
