Scenic Theatre

The Scenic Theatre is listed in the 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory. This small theatre appears on the 1918 Sanborn, in a long and narrow one-story tile brick building. The 1909 map shows a little wooden store here, and it is possible this was built from the start to be a theatre.

Much narrower than the Lyric Theatre, one block east, this theatre was not a success, and the 1933 map shows a store here. The building remains on the 1948 map, but was demolished many years ago. The site is a vacant lot.
