The Veteran’s Hall was built in 1887 for use as the town armory. It was designed in a Queen Ann/Romanesque style by Concord based architect John Chapman. In 1922 noted Boston based theatre architect Clarence H. Blackhall designed a stage and fly-tower for the building and it opened as a live theatre. By 1950 it was screening movies and by 1957 it was operated by Daytz Theater Enterprises Corp.

In recent years it has been renamed 51 Walden Performing Arts Center and has become a concert hall & live theatre. In 2007 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
