Majestic Theatre

The theater was opened by 1914 in the Belknap Block, a good sized two story brick building constructed in 1901. The 1910 map shows the southern portion, where the theater was later located, as a restaurant.

The theater remained in operation through at least 1916, but the 1926 map shows the entire building as offices. The building is in decent shape today, and has been the home of a mattress store for at least ten years.

The historical address was 803 Linn (Street?), sometimes rendered as Lynn on the maps. The numbers were changed at least twice, and both the N-S and E-W streets renamed.
