Located in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, just over 2 miles from Finedon. The Picturedrome was opened in either 1914 or 1915. It had a very narrow entrance passage which led to the auditorium behind shop buildings on the High Street. The facade was given a plain Streamline Moderne style makeover around 1960. It was closed in the early-1960’s and became a community centre named Civic Hall. It had been demolished by 2010.
Only a small section of the right-hand side of the facade remains, which contains two blue plaques commemorating the cinema and 100 Years of Cinema. Housing has been built on the site of the auditorium, the narrow pathway to reach the housing follows the route of the former foyer passage.
