Cinema Lumiere

The Hall Lumiere was originally a covered market built in 1895. The beautiful Art Nouveau style building stands alone in the centre of the square. It opened as the Cinema Lumiere in 1913. In recent years it became a triple screen cinema and became an art house cinema, with films screened in their original versions. The operator was having a bad time with the owners of the building and it was announced that the Cinema Lumiere would close on 31st December 2023.
