Theatre

This theatre appears on the 1915 Sanborn, in the northern storefront of a two-story brick commercial building, which was constructed between 1892 and 1897. The 1909 map shows this space as a grocery.

It appears that to convert this space to a theatre, there was a substantial addition to the rear of the building. It is unknown when this theater closed.

It’s possible this block was damaged in the 1968 tornado, although the path appeared to be a few blocks to the rear of these buildings. At any rate, this block is now a dreary collection of small nondescript modern buildings.
