This was a second-run neighborhood theater in the Brookside area in southwestern Cleveland. The theatre opened before 1936 and closed by the early-1950’s. It was listed in the 1948 Motion Picture Yearbook as having 647 seats.

After the theatre closed in November 1951 it was used for special events for a while. It became a VFW Hall, which it remains in 2023 occupied by the American Legion.

During its final years, the Memphis Theatre screened German films, and was billed as Ohio’s only German movie house. It was closed in November 1951 and became a special events house afterward.
