Located in the district of Sampierdarena (San Pier D'Arena) to the west of Genoa. The Cinema Excelsior was opened in 1921, operated by V. Borzani. Designed in a Beaux-Arts style it screened films and also variety acts on the stage.

It had closed prior to 2010 and was converted into a supermarket.
