Royal Cinemas opened in January 2011. It is proud to present a contemporary, modern theatre on the Georgia Coast. We are the only locally owned and operated theatre in the area. We have extensive concession as well as an in-theatre restaurant. The Royal Grille is part of our Dinner Theatre. With restaurant style seating, you can enjoy your food and drink while you watch a movie.
The addition of our IMAX screen and 2 additional screens, we are the largest theatre on the coast of GA.

Opening in January 2011, the Royal Cinemas originally opened with a normal-sized IMAX. The IMAX was relocated to a bigger building in 2020.
The “world’s tallest” IMAX is 101 feet wide and 76 feet and 2 inches tall. The other IMAX at this complex is 40 x 70 feet.
