The Rex Airdome appears on the 1911 Sanborn, on a corner occupied by a house on the 1906 map.
The structure was very basic, just a fenced lot with a wooden stage/screen at the rear. This theater did not last long, closing in 1912. The 1922 map shows the corner vacant.
Shortly thereafter, the present structure, a store/gas station with an associated garage, was built.
