The Soo Drive-In opened its gates on June 28, 1950 with Jack Carson in “My Dream Is Yours” with no extra short subjects.

Along with the nearby Skylark Drive-In on Trunk Road, both drive-ins closed at the end of the 1984 season on the same day. September 2, 1984. The Soo Drive-In closed with “Beat Street” and Cheech and Chong’s “The Corsican Brothers”, “Easy Money” & “Up the Creek”.

Correction: Both the Skylark and the Soo closed on September 2, 1984. The Soo closed with “Beat Street”, “The Corsican Brothers”, “Easy Money”, and “Up The Creek” as a quad dusk-to-dawn show.
