Located in Bellmead, to the northeast of Waco, TX. The Oaklawn Drive-In opened on March 17, 1951 with Rod Cameron in “Short Grass”. It had a capacity for 600-cars and 241-seats for walk-in patrons. It was closed in 1958 for highway construction. It was owned by Newman Theatres.

As late as 1981 the remnants of the drive-in were still visible, including the outline, ramps, and foundations of the projection booth/concession stand and screen.
Today, a Motel 6 sits on part of the property with the rest being undeveloped. But there is no trace of the drive-in remaining.
