This drive-in was the only drive-in theater in the city of Ripley and the fourth movie theater to serve Ripley as well.
It was opened by 1955 and operated by Aubrey Webb. It was closed sometime in the early-1960’s (as a 1970 aerial view shows the theater completely gone).

Why is it called the “A and B”? It sounds more like a twin-screen name than a single-screen name.
You can still see the parch marks of some of the ramps.
The “A” was probably for Aubrey. And the Webb theatre was probably owned and operated by him.
I believe both the A and B stand for Aubrey’s full name.
