I worked at the Mann Superstition 5 as it was known then in 1986. I was wrongfully terminated because a certain deposit I personally put into the safe, never made it to the bank. At the time there were three other managers that had access to the safe and deposits. The night I put the deposit in, we ran out of receipt books, so made a note on the deposit. Unfortunately it supposedly never made it in. Give it this is before cameras and advanced billing processes that could be traced. I remember fighting my termination. It was me against the Paramount lawyers, yes the studio had bought Mann Theatres. Even though I got terminated my testimony opened a can of worms for the other managers who didn’t have a clue. I found out a couple years later that two of the other managers Darren Bernstein and Mark Mayo were fired for stealing and selling company property. I never received any sort of apology from Mann Theatres. Justice was done iny book. It was a shame that I was made the scapegoat for those two crooks, because I really working there.

The Fiesta 5 opened its doors on September 12, 1980 by Mann Theatres. It was renamed the Superstition 5 in 1982 but reverted back to its original Fiesta 5 name in 1993 after being acquired by Harkins Theatres.
